The tree had some disease so we stripped the limb off and established to build a suspended tree house for our kids. The tree is about 2 foot in diameter (across) and probably 3 1/2 ft. around. We're building almost 10 ft. up, supported with diagonal 2x6's. (8 of them). Now my hubbie read you should pick a HEALTHY tree. How long will this tree be able to support our big tree house (10x10)?? What happen to the roots?? What happens to the core (integrity) of the tree for strength?? Are our kids protected up there?? Ant one next to expertise in this area// I'd love lots of opinion... Thanks L.
Answers:    Get a professional to come and have a look at the tree for your childrens safekeeping and your own peace of mind.
A tree house how cool is that.....
Your tree house will rot away long before the tree itself. Pine trees are inherently rot resistant. Dead or alive.
