There is a tank directly above my boiler which keep leaking as though it is boiling over and my federal heating make a very loud detonation occassionally like its going to blow up. Any planning what this could be?
Answers: I'm not sure about the marine leak, but the loud hum may be that your burner bar have plugged "jets" where the pilot feathery is. What is happening is when the gas starts to step through the burner it is taking a while for it to get over by the pilot and it is primarily making a small explosion. You need to grasp a pro to look at that. Could be serious if you let it budge.
It's the water expansion container. Sounds like something is plugged up surrounded by the vent.
