We live in the suburbs so I driveway is rather short. Near the top of the driveway by the house the concrete dips down just a mite and the rainwater flows across that dip and over the turn-up of the driveway and under our house by the foundation. I be going to stick some black plastic to prevent it from going there, but I notice there is a split under the driveway so the marine would just pool lower than there consequently.
Now, I'm thinking that I shoulder create a border on top of respectively of the two sides going down our driveway to raise it up. This approach the rainwater wouldn't fall bad the sides anymore. How do I go almost doing this? Is there a concrete mold I enjoy to buy? Would this work in redirect the rainwater. I'm wanting it to go down our driveway instead of across that dip. :(
Answers: It sounds approaching the water have already found a place to go. If you don't solve that problem first it will come pay for to haunt you.
I would start by solving digging out a hole along the side of the drive method so you can see how big the hole under the driveway is. Then capture some class 5 gravel, shovel it in near and tamp it down tight. Once you have it full things are built up again, get hold of some grass established as quick as you can to relieve stabilize the soil. The border idea isn't necessarily doomed to failure, but make sure you correct the injure already done before implement it.
Good Luck.
they make a black irrigation tubing, similar to the drainage for septic system.of late find one with no holes within it.run it on the side of the drive that the water is going down.do you own a down spout for your gutters? connect it to that.
