50 coats of aluminum oxide. Edges are not treated. What's your opinion. If I lose it to hose down problems not really a big deal. Does anyone guess it might work outside on my deck?
Answers: One thing that wood on a deck have to deal near is a wide scope of moisture from soaking wet to unbelievably dry.
A board that is coated on one side and not the other will hold more moisture on the uncoated side. The individual wood cells will expand and the board will cup, wrap of verbs.
So, I don't think you should consider using the wood proposed even if it doesn't rot or split, you are going to own a very unsightly mess.
Neither walnut nor maple are obedient out door woods reguardless of what finish they are sealed beside.
It just would not be a pious idea to use these woods outside .
