Do they need to hold sizing applied to them before hte wallpaper go up? There is one patch which butts up to the ceiling.

Put primer or sealer on it. If the patched spot dries to fast and draws the bonding agent away from the paper you will seize bubble in the nouns. Best to be safe. If you don't hold primer or sealer you can use a paint primer, or just put wallpaper sticky stuff on the spot and let it dry in the past you paper.
