Vapour obstruction problems... again? My father-in-law and husband have be working on this room in the...

My father-in-law and husband have be working on this room in the underground room for over 2 years now. It be supposed to be done in time for my first newborn to be born and I am now 8 months pregnant beside my second. I'm fed up, so I am sneaking around trying to achieve it down when my son is asleep and my husband is at work. However obviously I can't ask them "What the heck be you thinking?!"

So I'm asking you, instead.

They have gone about 8" of spray barrier coming out the bottom of the drywall. The floor is not going to be replaced (or at tiniest not any time soon. Do I involve to caulk/tape/whatever the vapour balustrade to the floor? Should I cut off the excess? Should I of late shove the excess back underneath the drywall when I put up the baseboards/corner round so it is there if the floor does carry replaced?

Also I don't care how much it pisses any of them off. Nor do I really exactness if it is "perfect". I need the living space support and it can't be worse than what what was in attendance to start.
Answers:    The vapor barrier is important, but you can certainly cut rotten the excess without hurting anything. Don't cut too much bad, just cut it rear legs to within an inch of the wall and no impair done.

As an option that may prevent ethnic group feuds, consider about placing a rug down near, or a couch against the wall that covers what you don't want to see.

Another option is to ask them to babysit one Saturday while you cut it sour. They just may settle on to hop in and bring back it done themselves.

Cheers.
Just trim it off flush next to the floor.
