Tips on making an rime cube frozen for something like 5-7 hours????? It's a school point and I can make an rime cube frozen...
It's a school point and I can make an rime cube frozen for 3 hours and you can only use household materials which method NO buying other stuff from stores and other places. THe container also has to be smaller amount than 14x14 Inches. My container is a normal box next to tin foil wrapped around it and some styrofoam in the box. It's ok...... ANY TIPS THO???????????
(P.S. TY for the help)
Cork bord will minister to tin foil and insulation are the best thats what my kid did
The keys are insulation and a rock-hard freeze.
Make sure the ice cube is surrounded by the bottom of the freezer and the freezer is set to the lowest setting.
You'll want to put the insulating materials in the freezer too. This will remove any fry that will melt the rime cube. Wrapping the ice cube surrounded by several layers of cotton will stroke as a good insulator.
Answers: There are two most important types of heat verbs, convection and conduction. You need to try to prevent both of those.
Air by itself is a exceedingly poor conductor of heat. This system that it is a good insulator. But, it can allow closely of convection. To prevent this, you need to isolate the atmosphere into small pockets (like a foam).
The first thing that come to my mind that you would easily find around the house would be a sponge. If you surrounded your rime cube by a few sponges that would work well (hopefully you can find ample to line the walls). I bet that would do hugely well at insulating your rime cube.
Good luck
