Tile over infirm shower floor, going away out-of-date tile? I don't know anything about the "shower pan" or any of that...
I don't know anything about the "shower pan" or any of that mess. I know if i tore the antediluvian tile up, I would have to slope the floor. The floor is around 5ft by 3ft. I had someone speak about me to just tile over the aged tile. The old stuff is within great condition, it just have that wonderful Almond color from the 80's. Yes, it's cheap I know, but will it get me through a few years until I can accumulate up for a job done right?
Answers: No, I come up with this will only take home the job more difficult for you after that. What's the problem with sloping the floor? Use the self-leveling stuff.
