I love my hardwood floors but I have 5 dogs that I love more. My home is on piers roughly 3 ft off the ground. I would similar to to put down tile, what do I put down first? And will it mess up my original rock-hard wood floors. Any advice will be appreciative.

I would probably do what bammer have suggested! because you will ruin the floor otherwise! or else put down a pious polyurethane covering your wood floors to make them look honest and be durable. with a few nouns rugs for the pups to have a bit of traction..
