Answers: the screws should come out.bring in sure the screw driver tip matches the screw slots size(phillips) I assume.its probably #2 or #3.basically make sure the bass is lay on its face,on some folded towels to protect, and provide lots of down force on the screw driver while you turn it. they should break loose.
Many times they will bed the neck within glass or filler. This can trademark removal of the neck tough. Take your time and don't strip the screw. Use a cordless drill and the right sized bit.
make sure it is irregular speed and pulse the trigger.
