Switching from a fuse box to a breaker box...???? I never lost power or connection to the foremost box when katrina...

I never lost power or connection to the foremost box when katrina hit. I am doing remodeling and would like to do a changeout from fuses to a breaker box. Do I surely have to payment an electrician to do this or can my boyfriend do it? I have adjectives the neccesary tools and materials. also, can I have an electrician sign past its sell-by date on my work and/or do I even need the work signed rotten if I nevr lost power?

Answers:    if u cherish ur house and life, i suggest an certified electrian, because ur insurance company will wnat to see that one did the work, and if anything go wrong, u can sue his butt. u dont have to look contained by phone book, ask around , see if anyone knows a certified electrian specifically just starting out and requirements more work, we did, i paid 4200 to take entire house rewired in individual 2 days, totally good situation. its for the best , and its safer.

most likely you will hold to have a licensed electrician do the work. Not sure almost the laws of AL or MS, but contained by LA, only licensed electricians can do this work. you are outside of the city confines, there is no code, but this can be a markedly dangerous brief. Some electric companies will not pull the meter or reconnect short a permit from the city.
