Greetings! I bought a Carmen Electra Professional Pole Kit, however, my ceiling is about 3 inches too elevated.

I need to know if I can buy a small piece of ply and screw it to the ceiling correct enough or should I of late place it on the floor. Please Help. I have a do coming up soon and I don't want to diappoint. Thanx!
Answers:    make sure that item is in a rafter and not a short time ago stuck to the celling go get hold of a stud finder before doing any item but I would suggest that you get a board 18 inches square and press together it to 2 studs make sure that the wood is glutinous and drill out the holes. The studs are 16 inches center but ceiling rafters tend to move during construction so fashion sure were the rafter are now the board you merely attached is strong enough to hold your weightiness against the poll now cut a board out round to progress on the floor so if you use 3/4 inch plywood witch i recommend you only own to add to the top and one round plate approaching on the bottom should do you right
The only entity I can think of is to produce a 3in tall platform on the floor to out of harm`s way it to...

If you want to go adjectives out, you could build a low stage, or maybe a sophisticated one and remove one of the pieces of pole if possible? You could use laminate flooring as the stage too- it's slippery so you can, powerfully, you know, slide around!

What I would do is construct a frame out of 2x2's, add some plywood to the top and afterwards a layer of laminate floor. I'd choose the concreteness of the plywood according to how thick the laminate is so it take up that entire 3 inches, and a 2x2 is actually just 1 3/4 square. My laminate flooring was roughly speaking 1/2 in tacky, so that leaves a 3/4 inch sheet of plywood, but laminate varies surrounded by thickness. I would also construct the frame as a big square- 4ft by 4 ft or so, next to slats every 8 inches or so for support. There should be a slat running directly down the middle also, maybe 3 set together for the screw to sink into. I'd countersink screws for the plywood and after (though not recommended for floor applications) I'd gum the laminate floor to the plywood. Finally, around the edge I'd attach a prefinished floor trim to contest the laminate.

So... if you live in the Denver nouns I'd do the job for you... if you consent to me watch you pole bop!
