I am putting together a new laptop desk and one the the plugs that the screw go into is stripped. The types of screws that are within there don't own the points. I don't want to go wager on to the store since it was the concluding one they had plus I am 95% done putting it together.
Put a small or large peice of wood contained by the hole, the screw will bite it and go right contained by!

If you can win the screw to sit in the plug and the plug have rough edges on the inside, wood glue should be more than strong ample to hold it. Crazy Glue will NOT work, Epoxy is overkill.

Note Wood glue between plastic and metal will pocket a long time to dry and must not wobble, wiggle or otherzise be disturbed while it is drying epoxy will cure contained by 5 - 20 minutes (see directions, each type is different).

If you enjoy a choice epoxy is far stronger.

Careful, mistakes with epoxy tend to be irremediable.
Answers:    I deduce they sell some class of 'coupling nut' in hardware stores that ethnic group use to remove screws where on earth the screw head have broken off. You might want to ask in the region of this (for example, OSH or Lowes hardware stores). In order to do this you would own to saw off the screw cranium with a hacksaw first. You might also involve a drill (i'm not sure, though).

Other than that, the only item I can think of is ripping out the screw, padding in the hole near a dowel and wood glue, drilling a pilot hole when it's dried, and putting a unknown screw in. Again it's frozen to say when I don't enjoy your desk in front of me.
