I am installing a sliding gate and to preserve the track level i entail to build up one side of my existing driveway to ensure the track doesn't buckle when driven over. I am looking at using Bondcrete to build up enough cement and barb it approx. 200mm either side of the track. Can anyone comment on whether this is a viable solution, or will it a moment ago crack up from being driven over each day?
Answers: It won't work. That thin a stratum of concrete will be crumbling within two months.
the best channel to install this is too elivate the track with some sort or non rusting washers to fashion up the difference. Elevating the concrete will only chip, crack and flake similar to a muffin. there are plenty of other option to make this work. righteous luck.
