Our splash guard (rubber thing that go from the sink to the disposal) has rotted. We are have a really hard time getting the rubber unattached from the sink so we can replace it beside a new one. We are using pliers and a screwdriver but the rubber ring freshly won't budge. Any ideas?
Answers:    Just disconnect the disposal (under the sink) first and it should come right bad. You'll need a screw driver to insert into the ring nut that attaches the section to the underside of the sink.
When the unit is taken past its sell-by date of the sink, the rubber splash guard is relatively easy to remove, only pull it straight up and bad.
