8 year old house, I put up primer formerly I put the wallpaper up. I took the wallpaper down today (warm water get it down). But I now hold a thin fuzzy residue quality newspaper. Is the paper not down even so? Can I wash this bad with TSP or do I still entail to use a wallpaper remover to get this runny fuzzy stuff off? (BTW.. when using TSP do you use brushes or sponges near it?)
Hiring a painter is starting to look REAL good!
Answers: This is the treatise backing rotten the wallpaper that has not be removed yet...I would individual use DIF wallpaper stripper/remover...apply liberally and allow to soak for a few minutes....use verbs, warm marine and a sponge to remove paper...keep hold of changing the hose down as needed...keep rag and a flat spackle knife handy to assist you...EVEN if you are reapplying wallpaper again I would never recommend going over it short removing the old serious newspaper backing...this will just make it that much more difficult to remove down the road...it's your personal house that's with the sole purpose 8 years young and for a time extra work never hurt anyone (ha-ha)...I would also advise using dropcloths to cover the floor and baseboard mouldings to hold them from becoming messy...Even with an innovative primer coat you may have to do some touch-up spackling within small areas before resurfacing your walls....best of luck to you!!
lol...try "simple green" dilute it resourcefully..try in a small nouns first..worked for me..good luck..permit it sit a bit
