Ok so I have a small piece of marble floor within my house. It is right when you open the door, within the little foyer if thats what you want to call it. It is just about 1 sq courtyard in size. It is totally old, Im not sure how frail. I live in an feeble rowhome in Philadelphia & the city lost the paperwork as to when my house was built, but the graveyard across from me is from the 1700's. So as far as I know this marble can be a few hundred years weak, LOL. Anyway it is very dirty & scratched up. I really dont want to receive rid of it. Is there anyway I can carry it really clean & shiny again?? Thank you. 10 pts best answer
Answers:    You can also use a TileLab utensils available at the Home Depot. It contains a poultice that will take the film out of the marble from being exposed to dirt and moisture over the years. Then use their sealer select the finish you desire (matte, gloss, semi-gloss) to restore the shine. A more expensive but smaller quantity labor intensive way is to hire a marble restoration company to do it for you.
The solely thing that I can recommend is to buff it.
