I was getting set to repair cracks in the walkway of my hotel, when I realized some cracks progress to the edge where on earth a chunk is completely loose, ready to dive onto the parking lot. I got concrete patch and epoxy paint to use on the walkway after. What can I use, basically as a cement, to reattach those chunks? There are 2 large ones, but they are on the brink by a post where they will not catch much foot traffic, if any.

Answers: What you need here is some "Thinset Mortar", you can find it contained by the tile section of your local home depot. Don't agree to the price throw you as the expensive stuff is meant for installing tile and you are looking to bring in a repair, so buy the cheap stuff as you are going to also buy the acrylic latex additive that go with it, this one gallon bottle will be right subsequent to the thinset. This additive is what will exploit as your "bonding agent" as the mortar will not stick on it's own.(quickrete wont work) So just mix up for a time of the thinset with the chemical addition until the mixture gets to more or less the consistency of tooth paste and presently you have a "Super Strong" cement gum. Paint the area the chunk wants to be returned to with the chemical addition as well, and get the repair. You should let your repair dry for 48 hours previously you paint it, to ensure proper curing.
This mixture of mortar is considered "Engineered Concrete"
You have to hold bonding agent to put on old concrete if not it wont bond to the old concrete.
