What is a 'rip cut'

Answers:    Some saws hold the ability to rotate the blade independent of turning the tool itself. I guess the model is that it lets you turn the blade contained by a tight location. Personally I think it's more sale hype than reality. I have a saw with it and I don't consider I ever used it.

There are two common blade styles. The "T" typically used on Bosch saw (and some others) and the "U" or universal type used by most other saw. Most saws use one type or the other. Personally I close to the "T" type blades better.

More amps means more power. A 2.0 amp saw is second-hand goods, if you buy one you will regret it.

A rip cut is a cut with the crumb of the wood. Typically parallel with the long direction of a board.

Personally I meditate Bosch makes the best jig saw. Milwaukee and Makita also brand good saw. The Craftsman saws are second-hand goods (I owned two before I saw the light).
i hope this help
