I want to put linoleum in my bathroom which presently has hearth rug. There is particle board lower than carpet. I know that outer layer and stick tile will not stick to the particle board but will linoleum next to glue stick to it and stay. Or do I own to put 1/4" plywood down first and then put the linoleum?
I would put down some 1/4" luan plywood, makes it much easier to remove the linoleum subsequent and get a better appearance on the linoleum installation.
quarter inch ply is best - enjoy you heard of cardeen - it doesn't slip similar to linoleum and is harder waring, is put down in tiles so if dilapidated can be replaced.
i've got minolium surrounded by the kitchen and cardeen in the bathroom.
form sure the lino is non slip though!
Answers: Linoleum will stick to bit board, but if you get into the assignment and find you have sea damage I'd stir with the luan.
