Ok, the directions say until that time I use this thing for the first time, that I should start on the drain valve and agree to the motor run for 15 minutes first ( i.e. without any pressure surrounded by the tank, etc.)
In the directions, they indicate counter clockwise to uncap the drain valve. My sound out is, when I turn the valve counter clockwise, the bolt that glides within the threads of the fill spigot goes deeper and deeper surrounded by the tank.
I would assume that the further the bolt screw into the tank, the more the stopcock is closing
and vice versa, when I screw the bolt away from the tank ( as if the bolt would adventually fall down out if I kept on going), this logically appears to be opening the stopcock.
Do I have this correct, or does this drain tap work the opposite means of access?
most drain valves for nouns opens into the reservoir, water valve open out from the cistern, air is harder to stamp than water,
My compressor is a Campbells Hausfield, but counter clockwise brings the fitting out like you would guess and also open it. Really it is just resembling a little faucett.
Why don't you freshly do what looks good to you and after turn the compressor on and feel around the drain? If nouns is spurting out, then you hold it open, if, turn it the other way.
They merely want you to do that to get rid of condensation within the tank.
Have fun, you will never want to be in need a compressor again!
Answers: I have both a Campbell and a Honda and both valve turn counter clockwise to release pressure and drain water/moisture.
I'll also assume however that William might be correct depending on Brand.
All that aside...IF the valve is on the bottom of the reservoir; which it should be; AND you don't "FLIP the Turtle onto its shell"; AND you OPEN it to release; it will SEEM as if you're turning it in a clockwise direction.
Lefty Loosey/Righty Tighty is pretty much a trade standard OTHER THAN clear in your mind tool items such as CHUCKS etc. that are often connected within the opposite direction of the Tools common motion/spin.
I often interest a variation within tightness of a Friction drill chuck, when applying its action within reverse.
