I'm ready to free money with a programmable thermostat. I own an old boiler (radiator heat) and a brand hot Trane central nouns conditioner system, installed in January of this year. Is at hand any advantage to buying a Trane programmable thermostat over another brand thermostat (since my a/c is Trane)? Any disadvantages?
Thanks.
Answers: I am not an expert within this field, but I enjoy recently replaced my thermostat and can present a little suggestion. When I changed thermostats I did some research and realized that vitally all of them are interchangeable. Most promising the wiring that you are going to hold to plug the new thermostat contained by to is not going to relate to your new Trane AC system anyway. They probably in recent times hooked the new AC system up to your matured electrical wiring. So when you put the unsullied thermostat in, you are gonna inevitability to get someone that know what they are doing to make sure its wired properly. If you are exceptionally patient and enjoy some skill in electrics things, you might be able to do it yourself.
I would buy a superior quality thermostat from Home Depot or somewhere approaching that. However, if the Trane thermostat is alot more expensive, I don't think you will hold any advantage by getting it.
yep that opening its compatable,
