We replaced the sand in our Hayward filter (150 lbs), chock-full up the pool, got everything hooked up like peas in a pod way as closing year and the pressure gauge arrow shot to the later number on the dial (60). From what I remember, the pressure last year be steady at 20. Any ideas?
possibly there is a return spout that is closed
I own to agree with one answer that the quantify is likely damaged.
The obvious answer otherwise is that pressure increase as the filter system loads with jetsam. In your case that isn't the casing. I do ask however, is 150 lbs. the recommendation?
Another manifest point, in even a verbs filtering system, would be low pressure might be smaller amount the fault of the system, and more the responsibility of the pump.
A pool filter pressure gauge is a relatively inexpensive piece of hardware. Do you hold a release knob adjacent to the indicator, to expell trapped air?
