I was going to paint over some garden furnitures and I be wondering what paint should I use. They are metal material so if I be to use a paint for metal whats a good to use so it won't rust as much over the years. Is in attendance something I can use to spray over it to protect it after I finish painting it?
Answers: You should use spray paint. Rustoleum is my favorite, and I use it to spray everything from wood to metal and hold never been disappointed. Best tip I can dispense you is for prepping, first. Sand any really rough or rusty surfaces. Wash it all down very well with a solution of thaw water, mild dish soap and bleach. Use a scrub brush to really verbs the surfaces well. Rinse it okay. Leave it out to let it dry within the sun & that should give you a clearly clean, grease and grime free sculpture surface! ...Use a Rustoleum primer, first. Follow the drying time instructions, then spray your color - a soaring gloss is best - and a couple of standard lamp coats is good. Follow that up next to a clear top coat if you want, and that will really seal contained by the paint!
FYI: there's also something on the market that's call "Rust Neutralizer" that also comes in a spray can. I picked it up at a Home Depot. I followed the directions, sprayed it on after I cleaned the surfaces, tolerate it dry, then painted, adjectives about 5 years ago, and rust hasn't come through a bit!
P.S. If you haven't spray painted previously or if you're starting a new can, something I other do before I start is practice/get the paint flowing on a box/piece of cardboard to return with the feel for it.
Rustoleum rust encapsulating primer and the paint that go with it. I own used almost every manufacturer's metal paint and found it to be the best. I like the wrought iron texture because it hide imperfections and give a nice matte black finish. I have everything from wrought iron to aluminum furniture outside and hold painted all of it immediately with the rustoleum. The attractiveness of it is that you don't have to trademark it, just prime and put on two moral coats and it won't rust, won't peel, won't fade and will ending for years. If you want to seal it, however, use the outdoor Varathane formulation because it is non-yellowing and have UVB/UVA protection from the sun.
