Answers: Do not put in water. Make sure that the door is verbs and free from any loose paint, and then prime beside Zinsser 1-2-3 or Kilz 2. Then apply 2 topcoats. You will be very chirpy with the results. Good luck.
If it's a wood door, don't give water but prime it first. If it's a metal door, you might want to consider grease based paint.
