yes, no

amazing is contained by the eye of the beholder..

you could go to the paint store and find a set of colors specifically designed to go togeteher near one of the colors being your tile color.
Answers:    I tile and paint every sunshine of my life, and hold to tell you, that sounds resembling a great floor color.

As suggested, light globe tones will work. I'd probably do a Cream color for the walls. In fact I do it on every wall, where on earth the tile exists, almost like an Eggnog color. Camel would work, as capably. I do a lot of Faux finish work, sponging, etc., and I might do A Camel over creme, subtly. If you did the camel within a large rest roller, you could almost create a look of suede. I might shy away from white as being too stark a difference, but definitely White comes in so heaps variations. I'd also shy away from any Gloss paints. My personal nouns is SATIN, always.

Since we do not know the colors of any furnishings, it's a bit difficult to assume accent, but a dark wine-red, would work well beside subtle, but dark greens, such as teal, maybe as pillows, plants, etc. We also don't know if the design is contemporary, or vintage, classical, etc.

Of course you can, and probably should TEST, any/all suggestions or choices, in small temp. areas, even doing two color walls separated by bench rail, or wainscot.

I'd use contrast a bit than strict blending or coordination, unless you happen upon accent that compliment the tile color. I would not however go so far within contrast to distract from the tile color, IE: Burnt Orange. Certainly a color wheel can minister to, at a bargain price, and while surrounded by the store pull a variety of chip samples to clutch home, tape around, and live near for a day or two.

Just my two "sense"
you can do faux sponge painting on the walls beside a gold/tan combo. With the dark tiles, it will look amazingly elegant.
