yall!!! thankfulness!!!
dewalt or bosch are devout for lots of pro's but can be a bit pricey around 600.00 try a ryobi for a moderate priced good table saw.
As far as I am concerned (and allot of trade journal reports agree next to me): There are only 2 choices (and near are divided by price).
under $250 The 10" Ryobi from Home Depot (Being a Pro-builder; I across the world HATE anything Ryobi or Home Depot, but this is the exception that proves the rule), plenty of power, easy to use, portable(folding stand) and damn in the neighbourhood indestructible (I have one for my the trained monkey that I ring helpers to use on site)
However for give or take a few $750 you can get the Grizzly GO444Z, GREAT entry stratum saw available from Grizzly.Com. I use one of these everyday. I got it after 6 months of research (including conducting tests in shop, Jets, Deltas and a few other, when you will enjoy to get into the UniSaw vein to match the trait of the components on the Grizzly
EDITORIAL:
If you can only own one saw in your shop its gotta be a table saw: rips, cross cuts, dados and miter cuts more precise that chops saw, not to mention molding head, etc etc.
And for the record the radial arm is the most harmful type of saw. Any piece of power equipment is dangerous is unused correctly (think lawn-mowers and chain saws)
