its driving me nuts, hes probably hammered and drilled since he bought the place hes driving me insane. i feel unsuccessfully asking him to stop since its his right to hammer or drill his home, how can i make him stop next to a hint? anyway, im not feeling polite satisfactory to go over. i thought about hammering on my wall or do something equally annoying but i cant conjure what? any ideas? thanks
Most towns have hum ordinances that limit when you can do loud construction, usually not since 8 or 9 in the morning and not after 9 at night. Check beside your local police department or construction code enforcement office. The only piece you can do is call the police on him when he is making noise at improper times until he gets the message and stops.
Good Luck
Wolfatrest has the proper answer..if he is remodeling within the appropriate time allowed by statute..there is nothing you can do..here it is 7 am untill 9 pm except Sunday it is close to 10 am..Hey alot of people cannot afford to hire contractors after buying a house/apartment or possibly he is planning on Flipping it. Who can afford contractors when we are in such an unstable financial situation throughout the USA? He is resourcefully within reason to buy a place and generate it look good.My answer may not be the best according to your eyes, but hey, It's the truth..he has the right to construct his place look good and do improvements...Would you like to know how to upgrade your house without being harried? Request him politely that hammering is disturbing you. If his response is positive well and good otherwise report to the local authority who will approach him themselves to do his assignment while taking care of your discomfort.
Answers:    why don't you start making jingle too? like music..maybe someday he will be bothered also...and asks you to stop ur crash! hahaha
go and see his butt Hammering in the age of drill drivers is really old institution. I switched over 15 years ago. Drill drivers use construction screws that will hold 2X4's more strongly with smaller quantity screws - and if you need to, you can lug it apart. They are extremely quiet.

Buy him the Ryobi drill driver set in 18V near the cordless saw. It comes with 2 batteries and a charger, almost $100. No more hammering, and you get to borrow it, too. Cheap for the peace of mind, and you did something positive to modify his behavior rather than phone the cops. If he can't get that hint, putting the bake on later is greatly justified - " I even bought him a drill driver to stop the hammering!" will travel over pretty well with the responding officer.

BTW, are you home 24/7? Would getting out some help out?
