I just got a contemporary kitten. She has had adjectives her shots etc. But, to socialize her to my other cats, I need to keep her separate from them for a little. I need something I can drill various size holes surrounded by at the bottom and the top. The bottom so the cats can get to know each others smells etc. The top next to lots of holes for air. She will be blocked in the bathroom, it have a window but, I need to block the door almost entirely. She have jumped over what I do have twice. We have to shut the door. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks all.
Try cardboard. Local appliance stores have pieces that are huge from refrigerators, etc, free for the taking, and you can produce it fit in you car, even cut it up for the curb when you're done.
Good luck!
That's not how to socialise cats. You are making it difficult.
They must procure used to your routine etc and not locked away etc. After 24 hrs it should be with the other cats. When you say other cats what do you anticipate? More than two is illegal where we are. If you shift to Home Depot or any store of that kind ask to see the pegboard. They come in 4x8 sheets and own holes already predrilled so you don't have to. Not to expensive , light within weight but durable enough for your requests. Hope this helps.
Answers: Buy the lowest grad of 1/4" plywood your local hardware store have. You can carry it on the roof of your car if you put something close to a throw rug or carpet scrap on first. Tie it down and drive slow.
Probably the lowest expensive thing you could use would be 1/4" Luan underlayment. It comes in 4x8 sheets, but can be cut pretty easily with mitt tools, even a Stanley knife, if that's all you own. Usually costs less than $10/sheet.
