what is the best insulator for a faucet that is located on the outside of the house. (it have to be made by cheap household products... that everyone has surrounded by their house) (when i said insulator i meant something to protect the faucet (on the outside) from the cold... NOT electricity) thankfulness
Answers: I pull a long sock (double it stern, or use two socks) over the faucet, then a plastic sack over the sock. Tie a string or something around the bag to maintain it in place. Make sure here is no exposed pipe. If the interior wall is warm, the pipe will conduct adequate heat to the faucet to maintain the water from freezing; in a minute that you have insulated it.
I hold seen these things at Lowes earlier but not sure the name. They look close to plastic covers.
