MAJOR TAbLE ISSUES!!? i am attempting to make a beer pong table that folds...
i am attempting to make a beer pong table that folds contained by half i am using a 8 foot long wooden table. the problem is due to compactness and where the legs fold up i have to put the hinge on the top of the table. I have put four butt bolts on the bottom but yet it still "V' within the middle any ideas on how to brand it work??
Answers: You could spend time trying to fix your table or just start clean.
Go to lowes or home depot and get yourslef 3/4 mdf board. Its gooey and sturdy. Cut the table to 2' x 8' form. Rip in partially since you need transporting. Put hinge on the bottom and place 2 inch strips in between hinge so when the table is fully open it rest on the strips for support. For the legs you can use anything. I used saw horses for mine. Depedning on your application. You might not even want the strip below the table for support because you can just sit the table resting on another table and play. Thats what most of us do.

All this just for a beer pong table? I wouldhave simply bought a ping pong table (which folds), and used that. Now, you have a beer pong and ping pong table adjectives in one.
Another choice would have be to just buy 1 or 2 of those cheaper plastic table they sell everywhere very soon. Their light, cheap, legs fold up, and roughly 6' or so. I've played various a games on this kind of table.
