If you walk through a router, then you may own to forward the ports it uses to your computer.
If you are using Mac Afee firewall, there is a agreed issue, and you need to contact them for an updated copy.

There they mention lots of virus/spyware that come with using limewire.
some recommend: shareaza
instead... (google it to find it)
remove limewire, and reinstall it. your files should be in that after you have done this
