would you suggest i put the side pieces on before i put the top on or visa ersa?
Answers: It depends on which instrument you anticipate the overlapping veneers or laminates will receive the most sideways force that could ambush on the edges. If you'll be sliding things on or off of the table seriously (like a dining room table), put the sides on first and then the top. If it's more of a hotel height that society will be brushing in up-and-down motions near their forearms as they get seated or hand down, do the opposite.
Either approach, it will reduce the indiscriminate of catching if you trim the corner with a chamfer instead of a straight cut.
