Just bought a "Havahart 1045" trap to try and acquire a goundhog. Advice?

Answers:    i've actually had trouble next to those traps. maybe the animals in my nouns are smarter or something but they don't trust it. the only way i enjoy ever trapped something i had completly cover the cage next to branches and stuff to make it look 100% natural.
How do you obtain rid of slap tack...
ya, please don't release him essential my place, I have enough of my own...lol. I hold quite a few cats on our farm and a few own tangled with groundhogs hard by the barn where I feed them (cats). I'm assuming the groundhogs might be going after the cat food...but I'm never close satisfactory to see what he's up to when I hear them fighting. I know cat food works for racoons and possums, we've trapped them on top of our round hay bails in the past, and actually we've gotten a groundhog up there this year too, but it be in a trap without any bait.
