just bought a latest duel fueled range cooker, hobs are gas, ovens electric...right adjectives the gas fittings are there, ive took the gas pipe sour the old cooker, cleaned it up and it fits the unusual range. presently in the instruction book it say fit with non setting gas sealent to the cooker, the other ruin is like a push on bayonet fitting. right how much is this sealent, and hold i been quoted too much at lb20.00 to connect it,surely looking at it you smother on this sealant on the threads, tighten up the nut, connect to the supply, rub a bit of diluted wash up liquid round the communal to check for any gas escape and job done.or am i be too full of myself here.with it be our first extravagance, the wifes a bit unsure, but ive done our others no problem, and i can see where shes coming from,so any input kindness please.
