I am wondering if it would be possible to mount an exterior heater that would use wood and would warmness a home BUT by having it used outdoors you would elimate some of the ash and smoke that comes from using an indoor wood oven. I would not want to heat hose ONLY the interior temp of the house.
Sure, at hand are lots of different varieties of stoves that can be placed outside, and enjoy a heat-manifold that traps the hot air, which is after introduced into the house via a blower/ducting. And you can get stoves that are to burn assorted types of fuel, wood, oil, pellet/presto, corncob, etc.
Yes, at hand are companies that make wood stoves that you install outside. The ones I've see, use a wood fired boiler and circulate the heated water through radiators surrounded by the house. This would be safer because the combustion is outside and you wouldn't have to lug the wood inside all the time. You still hold the pollution of burning wood, which is surprisingly bad for your form. Be sure the stove is downwind of your and your neighbors houses.
This company makes stoves: http://www.centralboiler.com/models.php
This might be of interest as economically. Apparently, they smoke even more than indoor stoves because of the low combustion temperatures.

Answers: Interesting idea. The solely problem I see is that a wood burning stove heats a space by using convection boil. Meaning that the metal that sourounds the wood gets really hot and that warmness just radiate through the air. Somehow you would hold to capsulate that heat, similar to in a shed or something, and later force the hot air from the shed into your house. We, however, merely have a wood burning stove within our house and it is completely enclosed contained by it's own unit. We don't seize any smoke, ash, soot, etc... in the house whatsoever of late nice hot heat. Plus we don't own to go outside to put more wood on the fire.
