I have in recent times moved and every room has its own individual thermostat and electric heating system. Is there anyway to contact these remotely so that I can control them all from one location?
Don't want to rewire the entire house.
Many Thanks.
Not without hiring an electrician you want relays to connect them
if you have 8 rooms next to 8 heaters/t-stats you would have to hold 8 timers.
you will save punch leaving them as they are. Only turning up the ones surrounded by the room that you are in. Electric baseboard heat is fairly streamlined if used this way.
Anyway, why would you want to grill a room that you are not in.
I hold an all electric home, 1500 sq ft up and 1500 sq ft down, my total electric bill is one and only avout $ 200 a month.
Answers: I used to live surrounded by a duplex that had impossible to tell apart thing.
The heaters be in the ceiling and would radiate steam down.
I am not sure about yours, but I believe mine be line voltage thermostats. Meaning they would in fact control the voltage that served the heaters, as opposed to low voltage controls.
If this is the baggage, you could put one at (or close to) the power source (electrical panel).
You could also put a time clock (or switch) in the circuit so the heaters would merely opperate during certain hours.
You would inevitability an electrician to do any of this.
