We have an existing fireplace insert brass-framed chalice doors and we want to replace it with a silver-framed fireplace chalice doors. Is that hard to do? I own no idea how to uninstall our existing insert, if you enjoy tips, let me know.
Answers: With adjectives due respect; some obvious means/method of the initial install should exist. That might dictate removal and NEW. HARD is relative; given the OLD and your skill level or patience; etc.
Certainly you hold to remove OLD before you can proceed; so you might look at HOW it be installed. Also some info about the structure of the fireplace and the surrounding obverse might help us.
It could be that it be "tapped" into fire brick? and that method of attachment just have to be reversed. The options pretty much depend on you knowing how the antediluvian was installed.
