I am thinking of upgrading my electric gas stove to propane in the distant adjectives. I figured that in a minute is the time to do the plumbing because I'm finishing the basement (where the pipe runs) soon.
Answers:    There is no problem next to that. Just make sure at hand is a shut off tap behind the stove. If your not using the gas gross sure you have the tap off but also put a sunhat on the end of the pipe to get sure that even if the valve be opened accidentally you won't own a leak. When you switch to gas turn past its sell-by date the breaker to that plug.
no but you might check with your planning commission, some towns require a plumber to install them,
if you do it use teflon cassette or pipe dope rated for gas,
