Ok, I know this is not a common situation, but the cover to the main drain come off, and it's apparent that it's held contained by place by two screws...however, outside of draining the pool completely, how do I get two unmarked screws in in that? or do I have to drain the pool? any help would be appreciated.
Answers: if you can hold your breath for a few minutes, using a divers mass belt and a mask(you can rent them) may help-otherwise you will need an air container too.next time the pool is drained, take a masonary drill bit and drill deeper holes for longer, bigger stainless steel screw so it will not come loose again
I spent a fair chunk of my youth underwater with an airhose from an oilless paint sprayer compressor between my teeth, resembling a gal at WikiWachi Springs. The extra air burbled out and when I wanted nouns, I grabbed some. I was surrounded by 12-18 feet of water and know the rules for coming to the surface when using gas under water to hold from damaging lungs.
OTOH, you could ask around for someone with an aqualung to come over and spend 5-10 minutes on the bottom fixing it.
