but don't have adjectives the tools or time to do the sanding and finishing to receive it smooth......If I use a very thickset wallpaper will the creases show through or if thick wallpaper adequate to cover it up.
Thanks for any info...
fastener holes splices and torn (rough edges) will show through. Tape the splices, put very slight amount of mud over dents depressions and splices. You only hold to sand the high edges of the mud, it won't give somebody a lift any longer than putting up the paper. You should use two coats of primer, and agree to it dry for a week before putting up broadsheet.
Yes, and it will draw from worse over time, remember you are going to have expansion and contraction occuring within the walls, this action can incentive puckering. The tools need are not that expensive and the compound is cheap. DO it right the first time and you will salvage money later for repairs. Also if you do put wallpaper on please prime the walls first.
There is a product I saw at a home show ultimate year. It is european product that looks like a bucket of cloth, you add hose down and apply it to the wall. I cannot remember the name.
Or use paneling to cover the wall.
Answers: Sorry, but any defects within the wall will show thru your wallpaper. You need to cause sure you have a nice, flat and smooth surface for applying wallpaper to.
