I would like to cut out wooden junk mail for my daughter's name to put on her wall instead of paying money for the precut ones. Would I be better stale using a scroll saw or a jigsaw? I don't have a workshop so I'm also trying to hold that in mind. I reason I will be using wood that is between 1/2 inch and 1 inch contained by thickness. Thank you
a jigsaw if this a one time thing a scroll saw if this is going to an ongoing point. A good jig saw will cost as much as a cheap scroll saw. and a budge jig saw is more versatile(and you will use it more)
Use a jig saw.
Pre drill your holes so the blade will fit into the wood and saw from at hand.
Good luck!
Answers: You would enjoy more control with a scroll saw. A jig saw may be more cumbersome to control. I recommend a jig saw within cutting out sinks from counter tops, or ample curves. Also jig saws are usually handheld, which channel the piece that you're cutting desires to remain stationary. With a scroll saw you are able to rub the piece of wood with greater exactness. The two scroll saws I'm up to date with, the Ryobi and Dremel, can sit on a table.
