I hold out-of-date foam rubber lagging stuck to a hardwood floor, how can I remove it lacking messing up the finish?
Answers: first of all try crumbling as much of the padding as you can stale by hand. I would be prudent of using chemicals on your floor, but depending on how well it is hermetically sealed, you could use everyday houshold cleaners to try to loosen the adhesive on the insulation... if the floor has a pious coat of laquer or polyurethane on it. i'm not really sure the circumstances, but just mind and take your time. if the floor is not finished at adjectives then I would lately scrape it bad, and then sand the wood beside a fine grit (150-200) and then finish the floor. try not to catch bare wood damp at all. if you do, again newly sand it and it should be fine.
try dabbing turps a moment or two at a time ,use an egg slicer to prise up the backing as you jump along
