My bathroom leaks within the basement (the pipe) when i flush the toilet i don't want to call upon a plumber as i am pretty hand what could it be i am stumped?
CALL A PLUMER!!
Get some electrical tape... Or some putty.
Just patch it up... It's a interim fix.. It'll hold for about a week, later your pipes will burst from all the built up pressure.
DO WORK
Answers: Are you sure it's the pipe? If the hose down is coming from the area right lower than the floor, it's probably the wax ring gone bad. Two nuts hold the toilet surrounded by place. Empty all the hose down from the tank and the bowl beforehand you do anything. (Turn off the marine to the toilet, flush the toilet, and use a wet vac to suck adjectives the remaining water out of the reservoir and bowl) Remove the two nuts (they're probably under plastic caps) Pick the toilet straight up. Check the porcelin for cracks on the underside. If you see a crack (it'll look close to a very bony dark string through the toilet, you'll have to replace the toilet.....no picking there. Clean adjectives the old wax stale the flange on the floor and the bottom of the toilet. When you put the new wax ring contained by, put it on the flange, and set the toilet STRAIGHT DOWN on it. DO not slide it onto the ring. Sit on the toilet to force the toilet onto the wax. Make sure those two bolts came through the holes surrounded by the toilet and then put the nuts spinal column on. CAREFUL.....DO NOT overtighten the nuts, just spawn sure they're good and snug. Overtightening will rationale the ceramic to crack, and afterwards you're back to the "replace the toilet" substitute.
