I hold a 12' x 3' soft side pool. Any planning on how I can erect a cheap, transient deck to use beside this pool?

I agree with Rod B. You could build something low only just laying 3/4" plywood on cinder blocks, but if you're trying to get up to 3' glorious you'll want to build it right. 4x4 posts set on cinder blocks would probably work for a temporary foundation. A "cheap temporary" deck will represent more of a danger and hassle than pleasure. I would forget that plan and possibly stack up a few old wooden skids as a platform.
