What is better for drilling chalice??
18 V 550 rmp or
12 V 700 rmp

Any cordless drill recommended (under $60)?????

Answers:    Either one will work just fine. The 18v may provide you more run time since in broad most manufacturers enjoy increased runtime the higher the voltage is, but if the 12v is more in your budget go for it. I would recomend however geting a drill from a set company like ryobi, dewalt etc. only just so you know you will be able to seize a replacement battery effortlessly without have to mail out for one.
When drilling chalice you want to avoid heat buildup so the lower rpms might work powerfully but in any grip get a dril bit designed for glass( they regularly are carbide or diamond tipped) and to keep from have too much heat build up when adjectives, which can crack the glass and wear down the bit faster, you should assume about using a lubricant weather it be a special made for glass/ earthenware drilling or just plain hose. To keep the lube/coolant within place make a ring of putty or clay(the putty sticky stuff that you use to put up posters on a wall will work fine)around the spot you want to drill with the lube/coolant inside the ring. remember to dry rotten the drill bit when finished to prevent rust.

The 18 volt would be the best as it runs at a lower RPM.
The higher RPM may generate too much warmth.
