I need to affix a pallid fixture on the ceiling. There is no hard electrics present so I am extending a wire from the fixture to the socket down fundamental the ground. I got everything except a "cord stop", I call for this for my project to work, does anyone know where I could buy one, it's a specialty piece that does not deal in at any regular hardware store.
I'm not sure what you propose by stop, but you definitely do not use the electrical cord as the lifeless wire. You can gain that wire at any hardware store. You want to brand name it shorter than the electrical cord so it will "stop" the fixture in satchel it falls. You can tie a knot within each terminate at the connection and flex it through the chain correlation.
