I've tried furniture oils and even Mayo (my aunt suggested it), but really own no clue as to how to get rid of it. My hubby started scratch at it with his fingernail, and I told him no, because it may remove the finish. How do I return with rid of the ring caused by marine off someone's cup?
Answers: You can use Jasco's White Ring Remover or Howard's Restore A Finish in the mahogany or clear. Neither will despoil the finish, but both will remove the water ring. Howard's is for a time easier to find, both Lowes and Home Depot carry it contained by the paint/stain aisles. Jasco is found at Ace Hardware. They are easy to use simply wipe on, allow to pentrate the stain and wipe off the excess.
Vaseline-Just rub some on th ring and permit it sit a while. Then wipe it off.
