When I was mowing, I accidentally cut the line that goes to the meter that tell how much water we used. Will I find fined? How do I fix it?
Answers: I've worked with sea meters since I was 17.
Never see one with a line to it.
It doesn't bother me to say that after 36 years of experience, I'm still research.
Maybe you guys went electronic near meters. But still, ----no need for a lead.
Does it transmit radio waves?
Like, perchance, instead of a meter reader coming around once a month, you usage is transmitted to the water supplier, by signal?
Maybe it's a tracer cable, because the system is plastic.
If you know, or when you call the marine dept to have it fixed, and you find out later, what it is,----would you let me know? Thanks. . . Joe
I would make clear to the water company that is to say supplying you. Then you wouldn't get fined. If the cut is purely a slice, not a chunk taken of, try and duct tape it together. Or use electrical cassette.
