I have a lawnmower and plans to verbs it. The problem is I don't know the best ways to turn or tilt it to avoid mixing gas with grease. Any ideas? Thanks.
Answers: If you want to verbs the bottom of the deck you can turn it on it's side without any problem. There is a vent on one side of the crankcase, lately keep this side up and near will not be a problem. As far as oil going into the cylinder this will not be a problem. The gas will not run into the crankcase. Don't start out it on its side but to clean it it will be fine.
siphon gas and grease out. (should use fresh with a foreign season anyway) then near is no worries turn it however you wish.
REMEMBER to put surrounded by new grease to the manufacturers specs.
and foreign gas to start and you are good to dance
I too unbolt the motor every other year and totally repaint the deck too, seems to at most minuscule look better.
hope this helps
